PUDP: PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT - SCAFFOLDING

The consortium of Pedagogical Universities, which consists of 16 universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, participates in a large-scale project, having won grant funding from the US Department of State, administered by ARELTA (Akmola region English language Teachers Association).

In the period from 09/26/2022 to 12/14/2022, 19 trainers from among the selected teachers of Pedagogical Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan held an online training with an English language specialist Seneca Rain (USA). The result of this training was the developed programs on the methodology of teaching English and improving the quality of teaching English by teachers in secondary schools and colleges of the Republic of Kazakhstan. All trainers successfully presented and defended their programs and received certificates from the US Department of State.

Among the 19 trainers from pedagogical universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan there is also our teacher - the Head of the EP “Foreign language: two foreign languages" Aliya Saduovna Zholdabayeva.

In the period from December 19, 2022, the recruitment of teachers of schools and colleges of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place in the country, consisting of a questionnaire (survey) and interviews.

Starting from January 16, 2023, offline trainings for teachers of secondary schools and colleges of the Republic of Kazakhstan started.

On January 24, 2023, in Pavlodar, within the walls of Pavlodar Pedagogical University, the Scaffolding PUDP project received 25 teachers of schools and colleges in Pavlodar. Local trainer and coordinator Aliya Zholdabayeva conducted interesting and fruitful work with the participants, familiarizing them with the training program and discussing the main aspects.

This training for teachers, which also includes teachers of support schools, will last 15 weeks until the end of April 2023.
