09.03.2022

A round table of the EP “Foreign language: two foreign languages” was held with employers as part of the discussion of the content of educational programs and improving the training of future teachers.

The principal of secondary school No. 24 Rakhimgozhina N.Sh., Deputy Director for educational work Kopeyeva K.K., English teacher, teacher-researcher of the Gymnasium No. 3, head of the Association of English teachers of the Pavlodar region - Rakhmanbergenova E.S., English teacher, teacher-researcher of the K. Makpaleev Secondary School Koftanyuk I.I., Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of Secondary School No. 21 Nurmagambetova G.M., teacher-master of the Lyceum-boarding school “Bilim-Innovation” for gifted girls Omelnitskaya A.A. took part in the round table meeting.

The round table was organized by the Dean of the Higher School of Humanitarian Sciences Karimova A.E., Head of the EP Zholdabayeva A.S., Ph.D., Associate Professor of the EP Nygmetova B.D., Senior Lecturer Alimova Sh.Zh., Lecturer-Expert Ospanova Zh.Z., Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Zhetpisbay A.K., Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Demesinova G.Kh.

As the principal of the MI secondary school 24 Rakhimgozhina N.Sh. noted, the educational program “Foreign language: two foreign languages” is very popular. Pupils of this school enter this specialty every year.

In the course of a constructive dialogue, the content of educational programs and their educational trajectory were discussed, the model of a graduate of the EP was considered, proposals were made and valuable recommendations were received.

At the suggestion of Nurmagambetova G.M., an inclusive approach should also be taken into account in teaching students, since there are children with special needs in general education classes, they need a special training program, a special lesson plan. “I would like your graduates to have such skills in planning a foreign language lesson,” Galiya Maratovna concluded.

An in-depth teaching of a foreign language through the introduction of a cross-cutting discipline of POWS from 1 to 4 years was also proposed.

Besides, the vital issue of taking the obligatory NQT was also touched upon. According to employers, this issue is controversial. According to the director of the MI secondary school 24 Rakhimgozhina N.Sh., passing the NQT for graduates is stressful. Graduates need to be given at least 2-3 years of work experience before passing the NQT.

At the end of the round table meeting, it was decided: to improve the content of the educational programs “Foreign language: two foreign languages” taking into account the recommendations and proposals of employers.
