The Irtysh day was celebrated in Pavlodar.

Pavlodar celebrated the fifth anniversary of the holiday dedicated to the Irtysh River. On July 28, a festive concert with the participation of Kazakhstan stars took place on the Central Embankment. In addition, Pavlodar residents and city guests could contemplate the "parade of ships". Tugs, boats, motor ships and yachts took part in this event.

Pavlodar State Pedagogical University took an active part in carrying out this event. The university became a platform for debates and discussion. The theme of the round table was closely connected with the ecological situation on the Irtysh River.

The scientific council of the "round table" included leading ecologists, geographers, representatives of public and youth organizations. One of the initiators of the holiday, and at the same time, the director of the Pavlodar House of Geography, Alexander Vervekin, spoke about the events that took place on the eve of  "The Irtysh Day". 

The "Zhasyl El" detachments cleaned the most polluted territories of the Central embankment. The initiative of the holiday dedicated to the Irtysh was also picked up by other border countries. The "round table" has become a kind of dialogue platform. In addition a film about Irtysh was presented at a round table meeting. The TV project tells about young people who connected their lives with sailing.

The organizers of the project were surprised by the initiative was taken by residents of Pavlodar region. For today "Irtysh Day" is celebrated not only in the regional center. This project was supported by all districts of the region.
