Open championship on orienteering

On the 9^th of September 2018 open championship on orienteering was held in Pavlodar. The championship was organized in the outskirts of Pavlodar behind the bridge of the Leninskiy settlement on the bank Irtysh. The competition was held by the "Physical Education and Sport Department of Pavlodar" SI in cooperation with the "Federation of Sport Orientation of Pavlodar region" PA, “ Ecology and Tourism Center for Children and Youth “ SCCE. Event holding was entrusted to the main judge Dyachenko O.V. and the judiciary board approved by the "Physical Education and Sport Department of Pavlodar" SI.

The goal of orienteering is to promote sport orienteering, a healthy lifestyle, careful attitude to nature, to identify the best athletes of this industry among children and youth. All participants were divided into groups according to ages. Honor of PSPU was defended by first and second year students of the Geography and Chemistry Department. All participants of Sport orienteering shared with the opinion that competition was successful, as all sportsmen used a map, compass and found the marks on the map. There were also guys who participated in such event first time. Student of the GT-11 group, Pavlodar State Pedagogical University, Shider Danagul took the third place and was awarded a medal.

It should be noted, that she is first year student and participated in such competition first time. Danagul said that she was so happy to defend the honor of the university, and expressed readiness to take part in sport orienteering in future.
