International Scientific and Practical Conference

June 28, 2018 on the basis of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was an international scientific and practical conference “Political Initiatives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev and the creation of Astana”, organized by the Institute of the History of the State.

The director of the Institute of the History of the State, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Ayagan Burkitbai Gelmanovich addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. The work of the conference was attended by deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, well-known public and state figures, domestic historians, teachers of higher educational institutions. During the conference, there were discussed topical issues of the Fatherland history, political initiatives of the Head of State in the context of modernization of spiritual consciousness, history and the role of the capital of independent Kazakhstan – Astana. Particular attention was paid to the understanding of the scientific heritage of the famous historian, academician Kenes Nurpeisov, who made a significant contribution to the development of Russian science. At the plenary session, with the report “Kenes Nurpeisov – Teacher, Scientist, Reformer of Historical Consciousness”, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of PSPU G.E. Otepova.
