HEALTH DAY

02.10.2018

It was a very warm and sunny day on September 28, when, by the decision of university management, the “First-year students’ Health Day” was held. Health Day is annually held at the very beginning of September within the framework of the “First-year students Week”, but due to the large number of PSPU collectives were prepared for the celebration of the 200th anniversary of M. Shormanov, it was decided to postpone the holiday to the end of September.

As usual, the “Day of Health” began with the opening parade at which the first-year students were greeted by the head of Department of Physical Education Komandik TD and the chairman of the sports club PSPU Komissar S.V. The program of the day of health included contests like an obstacles line, contests of a tourist table and a tourist song, volleyball and tug-of-war.

Despite the fact that these events are traditional, each year they take place in different ways. In the first contest, five boys and five girls competed for the team. The best results were shown by the students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, who took 1st and 3rd places. The second place went to the faculty of pedagogy and sport. In volleyball, the team of Pedagogy and Sport, represented mainly by athletes, became the winners among young men; mathematicians won again among the girls. The most difficult thing in summing up was the determination of the winners of the tourist table competition. As a result, the FM & E groups were leading: the F-11 group ranked first, the HB-12 ranked second, and PD-11 ranked third.

In the song contest "humanitarians" showed the best result. The team of PMO won the contest, foreigners took the second place, philologists in the third place. Performance of students of the group DVO-11c was left a very good impressions.  Unfortunately,  organizers did not provide the nomination "Audience Award". Next year it will need to take into account.

In general, the event was lively and interesting, the students had a good rest, made friends and took a charge of cheerfulness. This event was organized by the Department of Physical Education and Department of Youth Policy. I would like to note the new chairman of the sports club Komissar Svetlana Viktorovna. It was her successful debut, and I would like to hope that under her leadership sport and mass work in our university will be further developed.
