DISCUSSION OF SEVEN FACETS OF THE GREAT STEPPE

27.12.2018

President Nursultan Nazarbayev in his last article highlights the "seven facets of the great steppe", which became the basis for the uniqueness of the history and culture of the Kazakh people, arguing that "Space is the measure of all things, time is the measure of all events. When the horizons of space and time merge, national history begins. ”

In this regard, on 26th of December this year, teachers of the Kazakh language and literature department, Z.K.Zhubantaeva, E.B.Asanbaeva, and 2nd year students, held two events in order to discuss the article. The first is an exhibition and a report on the subject of each of the faces highlighted by Elbasy. The students were given the opportunity to fully disclose their creative abilities: one group brought goods that were sold along the Great Silk Road to the exhibition, the second team presented a suit that exactly repeats Golden Man's clothes, and the third group of students prepared auxiliary training materials on the theme “Kazakhstan - the cradle Turkic world ". At this stage, students tried to reveal each of the seven facets, prepare exhibition materials on this topic and reveal their role in the culture and history of Kazakh people. The students also put forward several ideas to promote the values indicated by the leader of the nation: for example, on the topic “Kazakhstan is the birthplace of apples and tulips”, students proposed to install an apple monument on the territory of the university and hold an annual tulip festival in our city.

The second event is an intellectual quiz regarding the life and creative path of the great thinkers of Kazakh land, about which our president speaks in the fifth paragraph of the article entitled “The cradle of the Turkic world”. The quiz was attended by two teams consisting of students of KAL-21 and KLN-21, where they answered questions about life and work of Abu Nasyr al-Farabi and Khoja Akhmed Yassawi, asked questions prepared in advance, thereby testing their knowledge.

The event was in the educational character. A competent jury composed of Doctor of Philology, Professor Sutzhanov Seyfitden Nazymbekovich and Master Kuandyk Zere Ertayevna, having evaluated all the stages of the competitions, identified and awarded winners with certificates.
