CONFERENCE DEVOTED TO 125th ANNIVERSARY OF ILYAS ZHANSUGUROV

Conference dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet and prose writer Ilyas Zhansugurov called “Talent, born with people” held in the Scientific Library named after E.Bekmakhanov. Teachers and students of PSPU, college students and library staff attended the event.

This conference aimed at awakening interest among students and teachers to a deeper study of writer's life and works. The head of service department Gulnara Tulebaeva, who noted the great importance of the writer's creativity for the national culture and literature, made her welcoming speech. Students in their speeches presented whole literary research of Ilyas Zhansugurov’s artistic works. It was very interesting to talk about the strongest work of the classic - the poem “Kulager”, about life of kazakh people. Each saw the content of work, images created by the writer in his own way. Conference program was informative, and presentations were interesting and emotional.

Also, the conference was attended by university lecturer, doctor of philological sciences, a professor of the department of Kazakh language and literature of Pavlodar State Pedagogical University, S.N.Sutzhanov, who revealed the subject and content of Ilyas Zhansugurov's works, noting that, by his civil and social activities writer raised national spirit to a high level.

The event was held in the form of an open dialogue between participants, who actively discussed the problems of writer's works, analyzed the plot and made their own conclusions. Conference gave students not only a lot of interesting information, but also contributed to a productive exchange of views.

In conclusion, students got acquainted with the literary exhibition “Kulager of zhyr”, which presented plays, poems, articles from periodicals.
