Celebrating the 200th jubilee of Musa Shormanov's birth

He, like all the sons of the Kazakh steppes, worried with all his heart about his identity. The 200^th  anniversary of famous enlightener and public figure Musa Shormanov's birth was celebrated in Pavlodar region. Historically it turned out that the fate of Pavlodar Priirtyshye is directly related to the name of a major state and public figure, the senior sultan of the Bayanaul external district Musa Shormanov. For many years, an ethnographer, folklorist, local historian, enjoyed the boundless authority and love of his people. He was born at the beginning of the nineteenth century and was one of those people who known under the name "Bayanaul phenomenon". It can be said that Musa Shormanov was the founder of this phenomenon.

His jubilee of this outstanding person was celebrated in the native land of Musa Shormanov, Bayanaul district. The celebration took place in the framework of  "Rukhani zhangyru" state program. The public figure, ethnographer, educator and folklorist made an invaluable contribution to the development of not only Pavlodar region, but the whole country. The grandest in scope and intensity of the passions event took place on Bayanaul land. An important aspect was the attendance of the Chairman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Kazakhstan, the Supreme Mufti Serikbay kazhy.

The celebration began on 14th of September. About two thousand people from different parts of Kazakhstan came to the event. The Museum of Musa Shormanov was opened in Tendyk village, Bayanaul district. The event was attended by the head of Pavlodar region Bulat Bakauov.

The festive week was continued by the opening ceremony of the mausoleum of Musa Shormanov. Building materials for new structure were brought from the Caspian coast. Made of white marble, it is very clearly fit in the overall color of the terrain. Ethno-ayul was erected not far from the monument. Over seventy yurts were installed here. Brightness, decoration of yurts, gave a unique color to the national style.

Melodies, plasticity of actors - all this clearly harmonized with the mood of those present. In the framework of this event burima-competition was organized. The first place in this competition was taken by Aizada Қurmanova from Karaganda, the second place was given to poet Kuanysh Sharmanov, and guest from Ekibastuz Zhanargul Kadyrova got the third place.

In the Kazaksha kures wrestling in the weight category of 66 kilograms, the first place was given to Arman Akimbekov. Second place - Mustafa Shukurkhan and third place to Madi Duisetai.

Sport battles are a constant and immediate component of such events. One of the great spectacles was the lifting of a bull. This was  performed by a fighter and a local resident, a native citizen of Tendyk village, Asset Bukenov. No less colorful competitions were  shown by pacers. Unexpectedly for everyone, at a distance of nine kilometers, the victory was awarded to Alyona Dakuchaeva. It is noteworthy that the name of her horse was "Revenge". At a distance of fifteen kilometers, the victory was awarded to the resident of Tendyk village - Musa, on horseback "Wise Socrate". Citizen of Pavlodar Bakhtiyar Bayzakov was the best on horseback "Senim". He was awarded one of the main prizes, the car "Lada Granta".

Pavlodar State Pedagogical University made a significant contribution to this celebration. It is symbolic that there is a bust of Musa Shormanov before the main entrance to the university. Even being already long gone from life, this person remains one of the most politically important figures of our time.
