On November 24-25, 2018, the Republican Debate Tournament dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the base of the East Kazakhstan State University in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The event brought together 32 teams and 64 speakers from cities such as Ust-Kamenogorsk, Almaty, Pavlodar, Semey, Taraz, Taldykorgan and Shymkent.

The tournament began with a gala concert. Game was held according to the rules of the British parliamentary format. All speakers were very prepared and erudite. Tournament participants discussed current topics of the Message of the President of Kazakhstan.

According to the results of the tournament, the student of our university, Sanat Sovet, was awarded the best speaker. He was awarded a diploma and a cup.
