Astana Media Week 2018

In the period from 26th  to 28th of September 2018, the Media Week takes place in the Kazmedia center of Astana. The International Forum is one of the largest media events in Central Asia. More than 2000 guests were invited to the event, and experts from the media industry gathered from different regions of Kazakhstan.

The first day of the meeting was devoted to the creation of an effective dialogue platform for media resources, on the second day of Astana Media Week seminars and trainings were organized for central and local authorities, press secretaries and regional media correspondents.

The forum discussed the pace of development of journalism in recent years and its future. The meeting was opened by the Minister of Information and Communications Dauren Abaev. 

TNS General Manager in Central Asia Tatyana Startseva told some interesting facts about domestic media. 

 

General director of Nur.kz portal Kuat Bakhridinov said that in the next 2-3 years 90% of Internet content will be written by artificial intelligence. When artificial intelligence comes to a certain site, it adapts the news content according to your interests. According to Bakhridinov, the main market players in Kazakhstan are social networks and instant messengers (Facebook, Instagram, VK), and today the demand for advertising in social networks is growing.
