Laboratory of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education

Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly important in education, opening up new opportunities to improve the effectiveness and accessibility of learning.

The laboratory operates within the framework of UNESCO documents https://www.unesco.org/ru/digital-education/artificial-intelligence about the use of artificial intelligence in education. Recommendations on the use of artificial intelligence in education offers a framework and recommendations for countries and educational institutions on the implementation of AI in educational processes, with an emphasis on ethical, inclusive and sustainable approaches. The interuniversity standard on the use of AI in education is also used.

• Explore the possibilities of using generative AI in the educational process.
• Develop AI-based tools and applications.
• Train teachers to use new technologies.

Areas of work

• Research on adaptive learning technologies.
• Creation and testing of AI solutions for various educational tasks.
• Conducting master classes and trainings for teachers.

The course «Artificial Intelligence» was conducted at the university. The duration of the course at Margulan University is 72 hours. Teachers will study neural networks for creating educational content, creating voice and voiceover, neural networks for everyday life, neural networks for scientific activities, etc.

The goal is to find answers to the questions: how can AI be used in the educational process and what help will it provide in research work? The lessons are conducted by the head of the EP «Informatics» of the Higher School of Natural Sciences Raushan Yeltinova, associate professor of the Higher School of Natural Sciences, PhD Daria Abykenova, director of the Center for Pedagogical Research Almagul Asainova.
