Historical expedition

30.06.2021

At this day the teachers of History - Karimova A. E., Sadykova A. M., Amanova A. S. and Abdrakhmanov B. N. - are conducting an expedition in Uspenskiy district to the places of burial of people affected by mass starvation in 20-30 years. Today we were at the reception of the mayor of Zhunuspaeva Saule Olzhabaevna for the coverage of this topic, where they received support from the administration of the district.

Earlier the expedition of our teachers visited all the districts of the region and the cities of Aksu and Ekibastuz. Historians gathered information about mass starvation and the repressed. Children and grandchildren of those deported from other regions to Kazakhstan in the 40's were also interviewed.

In her interview to our scholars Mila Filippovna Yerigonskaya, a resident of Irtysh region, daughter of deported Germans, told that her parents were brought from Saratov in the beginning of the 40s. It was hard, her father was conscripted to the labour army, and her mother was left alone when Mila Filippovna was 5 months old. Kazakhs helped her to survive, for what she is very grateful to them.

As a reminder, our teachers have studied the subject and have achieved great results. For example, in October of 2020 a collection of documents on the history of the deported people in the Pavlodar region was published by the senior teacher Tokhmetova G.M., and in April they participated in the program "First Studio" on the "Ertis" channel on this topic.

The last point of the expedition is the Maysky district.
