INTRA-UNIVERSITY OLIMPIAD ON THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

From March 27 to April 3, 2014, on the basis of the EP “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages”, the annual intra-university Olympiad was held for students studying in the specialty 6B01730 “Foreign Languages”. This Olympiad is a qualifying competition to determine the best EP students for further participation in the Republican Olympiad in Almaty (on the basis of the Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and Languages named after Ablai Khan).

Students showed their knowledge of the English language and Methodology by taking an active part in three rounds of the Olympiad: testing, solving pragmatic tasks using Methodology, and defending a presentation on a specific methodological topic. As a result, the winners were determined: Sagyndyk Edil (gr. ShTA-25) - 1st place, Rakhimova Saniya (gr. IA-22s) - 2nd place, Sarsenbaev Adil (gr. IA-22) - 3rd place.
