A modern educational programme is not only characterised by high educational standards, an updated educational trajectory, and advanced teaching methods and technologies, but also by a strong research base that is successfully integrated into the educational process.

In October 2018, lecturers Kudusheva G.K., Kalimova A.D., and Smailova D.E. participated in the regional competition “Best Young Scientist”.

 

As part of academic mobility, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor S.Zh. Bayandina delivered a one-credit lecture course at Abylai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages in the discipline “Comparative Translation/Comparative Analysis of Translation Equivalence” (19–20 March 2018).

 

Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor A.Sh. Zhumasheva participated as a lecturer in a virtual academic mobility programme for students of Kainar University (Almaty).

 

The scientific activity of the educational programme “Pedagogy of Preschool Education and Training” is aimed at developing the research potential of the teaching staff, integrating research findings into the educational process, developing students’ research competencies, and expanding international scientific cooperation.

 

Research activities are carried out in relevant areas of preschool education, pedagogy, and psychology, including issues related to the quality of preschool education, child personality development, organisation of play activities, inclusive education, interaction between families and preschool organisations, digitalisation, and the use of artificial intelligence in the educational process.

 

The teaching staff of the educational programme regularly participate in preparing and publishing research articles in domestic and international academic publications. Research findings are published in academic journals indexed in international and national information databases, including Scopus and Web of Science, as well as in publications recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education.

 

The teaching staff of the educational programme regularly undertake professional development and continuing education courses through domestic and international educational platforms, including Coursera, Astana Hub, and Lerna. Faculty members acquire modern digital technologies and artificial intelligence tools, including through the “Fundamentals of AI: ChatGPT” course implemented as part of the educational initiatives of Astana Hub and AI Sana in cooperation with Lerna/Skillbox. They also undertake professional development courses in relevant areas, including Margultantanu (Studies of Alkey Margulan), artificial intelligence, inclusive education, financial literacy, and modern methods of teaching academic disciplines.

 

Students of the educational programme actively participate in international and national competitions and academic olympiads.

2. Republican Olympiad in the field of 6B01210 “Preschool Education and Training”, I. Altynsarin Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute, 2021–2022 academic year.

Under the supervision of lecturer-researcher, PhD T.N. Fomina, the “Bolashaq” Student Research Club operated, involving first- to third-year students.

 

In 2022, as part of academic mobility, A.D. Mukhametzhanova, Senior Lecturer at Shakarim Semey State University, was involved in the implementation of the educational process.

 

The international dimension of academic cooperation was represented by the participation of foreign scholar Huseyin Mertol Omer from Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University (Türkiye). Within the framework of academic mobility, research and educational seminars were held for students, professional meetings were organised with the teaching staff, and an exchange of research and teaching experience was carried out.

During the first semester of 2026, academic mobility was implemented with the participation of Z.E. Zhumabayeva, Professor of the Pedagogical Institute of Astana International University, who delivered lectures and conducted practical classes for students of the educational programmes 6B01202 “Preschool Education (IP)” and 7M01211 “Pedagogy of Preschool Education and Training”.

Since 2022, the educational programme “Pedagogy of Preschool Education and Training” of the NJSC “Pavlodar Pedagogical University named after Alkey Margulan” has been cooperating with the Republican State Institution “Institute of Early Childhood Development” under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, located in Astana. Second-year master’s students of the 7M01211 “Pedagogy of Preschool Education and Training” educational programme undertake their research internship at this institution.

During the 2024–2025 academic year, the following events were held as part of the “Pedagogical Volunteering” project of the Pavlodar City Department of Education:
