History

The history of the “Social Pedagogy and Pedagogical Support in Education” educational program is closely connected with the development of teacher education and experimental work in the field of spiritual and moral education.

In 2001, in accordance with Order No. 566 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 12, 2001, an experiment on the development and piloting of the “Self-Knowledge” course project was successfully conducted. Our university became one of the experimental sites in the Pavlodar region.

The active development of the Self-Knowledge area and the growing demand for qualified specialists capable of working professionally in this field created a need for training teachers of a new format. In 2011, the “Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge” educational program was opened at the Department of Pedagogy. The department was headed by B.A. Satybaldina.

Due to changes in the content of school education and the loss of the independent status of the “Self-Knowledge” subject in educational programs, the educational program was modernized. Based on the 5B012300 “Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge” program, the updated 6B01811 “Social Pedagogy and Pedagogical Support in Education” educational program has been implemented since 2021.

Over the years, the department has employed and continues to employ specialists with extensive academic, teaching, and practical experience. Among them are A.K. Nurgalieva, B.A. Satybaldina, B.M. Zhaparova, Z.Sh. Shavaliyeva, Zh.B. Baiseitova, V.K. Omarova, and other faculty members.

Today, the program continues to develop, preserving the accumulated experience while responding to modern requirements for the training of specialists in education, social pedagogy, and pedagogical support.

Currently, the Head of the Educational Program is Zulfiya Shavaliyeva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor.
