History of the Educational Program
The history of the department dates back to 1987. The first head of the department was Denisova T.I.

Among those who stood at the origins of pedagogical training of primary education personnel were: k.p.s., docent Matkin V.V., k.ph.s., docent Monastyrenko Z.A., senior teachers Bazarbekova L.G. Yagodina J.Sh. Makarenko A.D. Vedilina N.M. Sarsek G., Fomina T.N. Zhomartov A.M., Asenova N.S., Kenenbayeva M.A., Nurumov B.A.


In different years, the department was headed by k.p.s., docent Korovaiko I.V., k.p.s., docent Osipova S.V., k.p.s., docent Omarova V.K., Ph.D., k.p.s., docent Negmetova G.N., k.p.s., docent Asenova N.S., k.p.s., docent Kenenbayeva M.A., k.p.s., docent Tusupbekova G.T., k.p.s., docent Zhumabaeva Z.E.




From October 2018 to 2025, the department was headed by candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Zhaparova Baglan Magauovna.

At present, the head of the educational program «Pedagogy and methodology of primary education» is PhD doctor Asemgul Zhambylovna Kalimova.

The faculty of the program includes 5 Candidates of Pedagogical Sciences, 2 PhD Doctors, 5 Senior Lecturers, and 2 Lecturers.
Since its foundation, the educational program has carried out an important mission of preparing professionally competent teachers in the field of modern primary education. Graduates of the program successfully compete in the labor market and work in various educational institutions: secondary schools, vocational colleges, and development centers.
In 2018, within the framework of the program, a Master’s program in «Pedagogy and methodology of primary education» was launched. In the curriculum for master’s students, special attention is given to mastering disciplines of the psychological-pedagogical and specialized cycles, including methods of teaching in higher education. The human and scientific potential of the Higher School of Pedagogy ensures the supervision of master’s students’ research activities at a high academic level.
All educational programs in the field of «Pedagogy and methodology of primary education» have passed accreditation at the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Examination of Quality in Education.
