History

The educational program «Pedagogy and Psychology» plays an important role in the development of education in general. It is engaged in the study and teaching of pedagogical and psychological patterns, forms the professional competencies of future educational psychologists, and also develops new approaches and methods of modern education.

The path of formation of the educational program «Pedagogy and Psychology» has its own history. Pavlodar Pedagogical Institute (PPI) was opened on December 1, 1962. In 1964, the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology was opened on the basis of the Pedagogical Institute, headed by V.P. Kharitonov. The department had a university of pedagogical knowledge, an institute of culture, whose students were teachers and parents. The problems of education and upbringing were constantly covered on the pages of the university newspaper «Pedagogue». Until 1975, the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology was headed by Ph.D. B.F. Kolesnikov.

On the basis of the order (No. 1-8 26 dated 07/06/1978) for the Institute, signed by the rector of the Pavlodar Pedagogical Institute T.K. Shayakhmetov, the Department of General Psychology was organized in the year. PhD, Associate Professor Yu.A. Golovin was appointed head of the department. In 1981, the Department of General Psychology was headed by PhD, Associate Professor R.N. Demidenko. Members of the department conducted classes in general psychology, as well as age and educational psychology at all faculties of the PSPI. In 1989, PhD, Associate Professor N.K. Tverdokhlebov was elected head of the Department of General Psychology by competition. All these talented teachers have made a significant contribution not only to the formation and development of the Department of Psychology in the region, but also laid the foundations for the development of psychological and pedagogical ideas at the current stage of development in the country. In different years, the Department of Psychology was headed by Ph.D., Associate Professor Sakenov D.J., Ph.D., Professor Bulekbaeva S.E., Ph.D., Associate Professor Sarsenbayeva B.G., Ph.D., Associate Professor Kairbekova B.D., PhD, Associate Professor Tulekova G.M., Professor, Ph.D. Aplashova A.J.

 

 

From 2010 to 2023, the Department of Psychology and subsequently the OP «Pedagogy and Psychology» was headed by Ph.D., Associate Professor Aplashova Arna Zhartevna.

Since the 2023 academic year, Dr. PhD, associate Professor Ayapberganova G.S. has been acting as the head of the OP «Pedagogy and Psychology»

Currently, the scientific and pedagogical potential of the OP «Pedagogy and Psychology» consists of doctors and candidates of pedagogical sciences, PhD, professors, associate professors of the Higher Attestation Commission, associate professors, masters, among whom are corresponding members of the MANPO:

2 doctors: Psychological Sciences (Shadrin N.S.), pedagogical Sciences (Pfeifer N.E. - is a full corresponding member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan and the International Academy of Sciences of Pedagogical Education);

2 PhD doctors (Ayapbergenova G.S., Mataev B.A.);

1 candidate of psychological Sciences (Kolyukh O.A.); 3 candidates of pedagogical sciences (Kulsharipova Z.K. - is a member of the Republican Public Association «Kazakh Psychological Society», Satynskaya A.K., Bisembayeva N.A.);

4 Masters of Psychology and Pedagogy (Makhmetova N.K., Murzataeva A.K. - is a member of the Union of Psychologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an expert of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rakhimzhanova A.B., Utegenova M.S.).

The research activities of the students of the Educational Institution «Pedagogy and Psychology» are at a fairly high level and are aimed at developing research and analytical competencies, critical and theoretical thinking, information management skills and academic writing. From the moment of admission, our students are involved in the work of university centers and laboratories. Since 2012, the educational and Scientific laboratory of Experimental Psychology and Psychodiagnostics has been functioning at the Department of Psychology (head of the laboratory is Doctor of Psychology, Professor Shadrin Nikolay Semyonovich). The purpose of the laboratory is to conduct research in fundamental and applied areas of psychology and to promote the optimal organization of educational activities for the sustainable development of the region.

Also, since 2015, the center for practical psychology has been operating, which implements a regional program to provide psychological assistance to the population of the Pavlodar region and at the same time is a practical base for conducting socio-psychological trainings and consultations for students of the entire university. The director of the center is Ph.D., Associate Professor Kolyukh Olga Anatolyevna.

Students' research initiatives are supported by teachers and university management, so in 2023, undergraduate student Abildinova S.S., under the guidance of an expert teacher Murzataeva A.K., was the winner in a startup project competition on the topic: "Kuramynda tiflo elementeri bar «Oylan, oina, kurastyr» a universal complex of correctional and developmental games aimed at the development of cognitive processes and the development of speech functions." The amount of financing is 830,000 tenge.

            The teaching staff of the Educational Institution «Pedagogy and Psychology» actively participates in research activities, conducts research in the field of pedagogy and psychology, develops new methods and implements them in the educational process. In particular, Kolyukh O.A. was a participant in a project funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2020 on the topic: «Pedagogical foundations for the development and use of a remote model of gender socialization of children in an orphanage in quarantine conditions». The amount of financing for 2020-2022 is 57,244,456.61 tenge. (2020 – 13,240,936.47 ten).

Kulsharipova Z.K. is a participant (senior researcher) in a project funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2025 on the topic: «Pedagogical provision of cybersecurity of the school environment using compliance management».

In addition, the teaching staff of the OP «Pedagogy and Psychology» is an example for students. They not only transfer knowledge and skills, but also educate future teachers and psychologists, forming their professional and personal qualities, introducing them to research by participating in student circles and communities. At the OP «Pedagogy and Psychology» there is a student scientific circle – «Metaphor», headed by Ph.D., associate professor Kulsharipova Z.K., at the meetings of the circle the most pressing problems of modern psychology are discussed, effective communication skills are mastered, professional experience is exchanged between a teacher and a student, issues of writing scientific publications and participation in conferences.

The educational process at the OP «Pedagogy and Psychology» is based on the principles of an individual approach to students and focuses on achieving high academic results. When training future specialists, much attention is paid to the rich heritage of famous scientists in the field of pedagogy and psychology, modern educational technologies. The educational program of Pedagogy and Psychology cooperates with many leading universities of the near and far abroad - Russia, Bulgaria, Turkey and other countries with the invitation of professors for academic mobility and programs of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, so from 11/21/2022 to 12/11/2022, professor Dr. PhD Omer Farukh Sonmez and PhD Professor, Dr. Hussein Mertol - Gazi Osmanpasha University (Turkey, Tokat) conducted a special course of lectures for students. From 2022 to 2023 academic year, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor at Ural State University (Uralsk, Russia) Moiseeva L.V. She conducted a course of lectures and practical exercises. From 11/01/2023 to 11/30/2023, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of Trakiya University (Bulgaria, Stara Zagora) Doncheva Yu.G. gave lectures for students of the specialty Pedagogy and Psychology. From 04.12.23 to 12/15/2023, PhD Professor at Gazi Osmanpasha University (TurkeyTokat) Murat Akdash conducted a course of lectures.

The educational program closely cooperates with various educational institutions, with the city, district and regional departments of education of the Pavlodar region, with schools of the city and region, KSU Regional Center for Support of Children in Difficult situations, KSU Center for Analysis and Development of Interfaith Relations, rehabilitation center «SAMAL», branch of the RSE at the Republican scientific and Practical Center of Mental Health", etc.

Educational programs Pedagogy and Psychology (Bachelor's, Master's, doctoral studies) accredited by the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Examination of the Quality of Education ARQA for a period of 5 years from 30.05.2019- 05/29/2024.

According to the results of the results of the national rating of NCE «Atameken» for 2023, the educational program received the 3rd place.

         Today, the educational program «Pedagogy and Psychology» is one of the most sought-after and prestigious in the field of education. It allows graduates to work in schools, universities, research centers, as well as engage in private practice in the field of psychology.
