Educational program "Pedagogy and Psychology"

The higher school of pedagogy implements the educational program "Pedagogy and psychology" in three stages: bachelor's, master's, and doctoral studies.

EP "Pedagogy and psychology" was developed in accordance with SES RK, Professional standard of the teacher, the National qualifications framework and agreed with Dublin descriptors and European frame of qualifications.

 

During the training period, students will master the following specialized disciplines: social psychology, pedagogical psychology, psychological and pedagogical diagnostics of personality, psychological and pedagogical correction of personality, history of pedagogy, psychology and self-knowledge, practical psychology, conflictology, psychological service in education, social and psychological training, psychologist in the organization, workshop on experimental psychology, differential psychology, extreme psychology. As a result of studying the above disciplines, students will form special and professional competencies necessary for organizing the work of a teacher-psychologist in educational institutions.

The teaching staff of the EP "Pedagogy and psychology" annually improves their skills at various seminars, courses, actively participates in regional, national, international and foreign conferences, are published in journals recommended by the Committee for control in the field of education and science and in international peer-reviewed scientific journals with an impact factor.

 

The educational program closely cooperates with schools of the city and region, MSI Regional center for support of children in difficult life situations, MSI "Center for analysis and development of interfaith relations", rehabilitation center" SAMAL", branch of RSE on PEM"Republican scientific and practical center of mental health".

The educational program Pedagogy and psychology is accredited by the Independent Agency for accreditation and examination of the quality of education ARQA for a period of 5 years from 30.05.2019-29.05.2024.

Students of the educational program annually participate in Republican Olympiads and win prizes, go to universities of near and far abroad as part of academic mobility.

The prospects of the EP "Pedagogy and psychology" are connected with the further development of relations with schools of the Pavlodar region; the introduction of new disciplines in the EP, allowing graduates to acquire the competencies necessary for the work of the modern education system.

 

At the higher school of pedagogy, there is a center for practical psychology and a laboratory for experimental psychology and psychodiagnostics, where students conduct psychological and pedagogical research, undergo training for personal growth and learn the skills of psychological counseling.

Graduates of the EP "Pedagogy and psychology" can work as teachers-psychologists in educational institutions.
