History

In 1974, the Department of English and the Department of foreign languages were established at the faculty of Philology of the Pavlodar pedagogical Institute.

In 1977, the faculty of foreign languages was established. The first Dean of the faculty of foreign languages was the candidate of philological Sciences, associate Professor Zharmakin Olzhabay Kaikenovich.

Later, in different years, the deans were: candidate of pedagogical Sciences, associate Professor Solovyov Yuri Georgievich, candidate of Philology, associate Professor Pakhutkin Peter Ivanovich, senior teacher Pakhutkina Farida Gandalifovna, candidate of pedagogical Sciences, associate Professor solontsova Lyudmila Pavlovna and many others.

In 1997, the faculty of foreign languages merged with the faculty of Philology and functioned as part of the faculty of history and Philology, then as part of the Institute of language, literature and art of Pavlodar state University.

In September 2004, after the Pavlodar state pedagogical Institute was removed from S. Toraighyrov PSU, the faculty of foreign languages was re-organized. The Dean of the faculty of foreign languages was appointed Ph. D., associate Professor R. Zh. Saurbaev.

In 2007, the Dean of the faculty of foreign languages became Ph. D., associate Professor Tekzhanov K. M. Since 2009, the faculty of foreign languages became part of the faculty of Philology, the Dean of the faculty was appointed Sutzhanov S. N. the Departments of English and German were merged into the Department of foreign languages, the head of the Department of foreign languages was appointed Ph. D., associate Professor, Professor Solontsova L. P.

Since June 2010, the head of the Department of foreign languages was appointed Ph. D., associate Professor Baygozhina Zh. M. in 2012, she was replaced by Ph. D., Professor Saurbaev R. Zh. since 2013, the head of the Department was appointed Ph. D., Nygmetova B. D. from 2016 to September 2018, the head of the Department was Ph. D., associate Professor Kenzhetaeva G. K.

Since September 2018, the acting head of the Department of foreign languages is Akhmetbekova A.M., PhD, associate Professor of PSPU.

In November 2019, due to the redesign of the University, the Department was transformed into an educational program. Currently the head of the OP is Zholdabayeva Aliya Saduovna.
