Announcement of the Competitive Selection for Academic Mobility under the Erasmus+ Programme
Dear learners and academic staff!
Pavlodar Pedagogical University named after Alkey Margulan announces a competitive selection for participation in the Erasmus+ academic mobility programme in cooperation with Technische Universität Dresden (Germany).
Project duration: Autumn 2025 – Summer 2028.
Each semester provides for the mbility of one student and one faculty member.
For learners:
Students of the 2nd and 3rd years of the bachelor’s degree and the 1st year of the master’s degree in the following educational programmes are invited to participate in the competitive selection:
- 6В01720 «Russian language and literature»
- 6В01721 «Russian language and literature in schools with Russian and non-Russian languages of instruction (IP)»
- 6В01750 «Russian language and literature in non-Russian language schools»
- 7М01721 «Russian language and literature»
At the moment, applications are open for the spring semester of the 2025-2026 academic year for bachelor (undergraduate) students, as well as for the autumn semester of the 2026-2027 academic year for master (graduate) students.
Selection criteria for students:
- The cumulative GPA for the entire period of study must be at least 3,0.
- English language proficiency level must be at least B1. Certificates such as IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, or Duolingo are accepted as proof. In the absence of any of these certificates, applicants are required to apply for the English proficiency test conducted by PPU named after A. Margulan.
- Research activity (participation in conferences, publications).
- Motivation (a motivation letter in Kazakh, Russian, or English, signed by the academic advisor, head of the educational programme, and the Dean of the Higher School).
- A recommendation letter in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, and English) signed by the academic advisor, Head of the educational programme, and the Dean of the Higher School.
- Social activity (copies of diplomas, certificates of appreciation, letters of gratitude, and certificates).
A colour copy of the passport and identity card, as well as a completed and printed Application form for participation in the competition for studying abroad within the framework of academic mobility must be attached.
Duration and funding:
Duration of study – 4 months (1 semester).
Funding:
- Travel Allowance – 1,188 EUR – a one-time fixed payment to cover transportation expenses. It is paid to the learner to cover travel and flight costs to the host university.
- Individual Support – 900 EUR/month, or 1,150 EUR including a 250 EUR Top Up – a monthly scholarship (living allowance). 900 EUR per month is the basic amount intended to cover accommodation, meals, and personal expenses of the student. 1,150 EUR per month (900 + 250 EUR Top Up) is an increased amount granted if the participant belongs to certain categories (e.g., socially vulnerable groups, students with disabilities, or special needs).
For academic staff:
Academic staff of educational programmes are invited to participate in the competition:

To participate in the academic mobility programme for teaching staff at Technische Universität Dresden, lecturers are required to submit the following documents:
- A short biography in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
- A motivation letter in Kazakh, Russian, and English (signed by the Head of the educational programme and the Dean of the Higher School).
- CV (Europass format).
- Proof of English language proficiency – minimum level B1 (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, or Duolingo). In the absence of any of these certificates, the lecturer must apply for the English proficiency test conducted by PPU named after A. Margulan.
- A colour copy of the passport and identity card.
- Academic mobility programme (plan) for the period of stay at the Host university (in Kazakh/Russian and English).
- List of publications and research papers.
- Copies of certificates confirming previous international cooperation experience (if available).
- Copies of diplomas and certificates confirming qualifications.
Duration and funding:
Duration of stay at the Host university – 7 days (including 2 travel days).
- Travel Allowance – 1,188 EUR – a one-time fixed payment to cover transportation costs. It is provided to the participant to cover flight and travel expenses to the Host university.
- Individual support – 190 EUR per day of stay.
Stages of competition:
- Submission of documents and verification of compliance with requirements (International Cooperation Office, 60 Olzhabay batyr street (main university building), Room 116).
- Psychodiagnostics (testing).
- Interview with the university committee (the Chair of the committee is the Chairman of the Board – Rector of NPLC «Pavlodar Pedagogical University named after Alkey Margulan»).
The selection of candidates for academic mobility under the Erasmus+ programme will be carried out by the candidate selection committee.
All documents must be collected in a file folder with a transparent cover and submitted to the International Cooperation Office (60 Olzhabay batyr street – main university building, Room 116) by November 24, 2025.
