Educational program "Surdopedagogy"

The 6B01901 “Special Pedagogy: Deaf Education” educational program was established at our university in 2024. Despite the relatively recent launch of the program, students actively participate in academic and research activities. They take part in scientific and practical seminars, conferences, round tables, as well as projects aimed at studying, educating, and providing psychological and pedagogical support to children with hearing impairments.

As part of the 6B01901 “Special Pedagogy: Deaf Education” educational program, students study specialized disciplines designed to develop the professional competencies of future teachers of deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

To develop the professional competencies of students enrolled in the 6B01901 “Special Pedagogy: Deaf Education” program, experimental training sites have been established at specialized educational institutions in the city of Pavlodar. In particular, practical and research activities are carried out at the Municipal State Institution “Special General Education Boarding School No. 1 for Children with Hearing and Speech Impairments” and the Municipal State Institution “Special Boarding School No. 7,” both under the Education Department of Pavlodar Region, Akimat of Pavlodar Region.

The department’s academic staff, together with students, conduct research and practice-oriented activities aimed at developing essential professional knowledge and skills, fostering creative potential, strengthening research abilities, and building the practical competencies of future teachers of deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

The 6B01901 “Special Pedagogy: Deaf Education” educational program provides opportunities to combine theoretical training, research activities, and practical learning. This ensures the development of the professional competencies necessary for working with children with hearing impairments.
