Educational Program «Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education»

Program Head – PhD, Dr. Asemgul Kalimova.
The primary objective of the educational program *“6B01310 – Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education”* is to train specialists capable of professional activity in accordance with the qualification profile and in demand within the modern educational environment.
The program content includes the organization of the pedagogical process in primary school, the development and implementation of educational projects, and the formation of fundamental knowledge, professional skills, and competencies in accordance with the state compulsory educational standard.
 
Graduates of the program provide pedagogical support for the educational process, contribute to the personal and social development of learners, foster general cultural values, and guide conscious choices in educational programs. They also participate in protecting learners’ rights, coordinating the social environment of educational institutions, and enhancing the pedagogical culture of parents and teaching staff. In addition, graduates are able to design developmental and corrective programs tailored to individual needs, conduct pedagogical diagnostics, and provide support for gifted and creative students.
 
Practical training takes place in the leading schools of Pavlodar city (secondary schools №2, 7, 9, 19, 22, 25, 28, 39, etc.).
 
Faculty members and students regularly participate in national and international scientific conferences. Each year, the Higher School of Pedagogy of Pavlodar Pedagogical University organizes conferences that promote the research potential of students.
 
The program maintains sustainable partnerships with schools in Pavlodar city and Pavlodar region, as well as with universities across Kazakhstan and abroad. Cooperation with schools enables monitoring of innovations in secondary education, while the participation of school leaders and teachers in the discussion of elective courses ensures the program’s relevance.
 
Collaboration with universities serves the purpose of academic exchange, scientific development of faculty and students, and enhancement of the educational process. The future prospects of the program lie in strengthening ties with regional schools and introducing new disciplines that foster competencies required for teaching in modern primary schools.
 
Since 2023, dual training has been implemented based on a memorandum between the Innovative Center for Education Development of Pavlodar region and the NAO “Pavlodar Pedagogical University named after Alkey Margulan.” Currently, more than 200 students in the specialty “Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education” are studying in dual format. The main goal of this project is to prepare not only graduates with fundamental skills, but highly competent professionals ready to enter the workforce at a high level from the very first day.
 
The program employs 14 full-time faculty members, including 5 Candidates of Pedagogical Sciences, 2 PhD doctors, 5 senior lecturers, and 2 lecturers.
 
Graduates may continue their education in the Master’s program «M003 – Training of Specialized Teachers without Subject». This program aims to prepare highly qualified specialists in demand on the labor market. Master’s students acquire the ability to professionally organize primary education models, design and implement educational programs, and apply innovative teaching technologies.
